Terms of use

These terms apply when you browse soundofcarnatic.com, register for or attend events we announce, support us via payment buttons, or use our public teacher directory. Sound Of Carnatic is based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Dutch law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply where you live in the EU.

1. The website

Content on this site is for information about our concerts, tributes, community, and learning activities. We try to keep details accurate but schedules, venues, and descriptions may change. Check the relevant event page or contact us if something looks unclear.

2. Events & registration

Event registration and ticketing may use third-party tools (for example Google Forms or Stripe). Those tools have their own terms. Completing a registration or payment creates a relationship for that event according to the details shown at checkout or on the form. We may cancel, postpone, or change an event for practical reasons; if we do, we will communicate via the channels we have for that event where reasonably possible.

3. Support & donations

Optional support payments (Stripe buttons) help fund concerts and community activities. Unless stated otherwise at payment time, contributions are voluntary and non-refundable, except where Dutch or EU consumer law requires otherwise or Stripe’s process provides a refund path for a failed or duplicate charge.

4. Teachers directory

Teacher profiles are provided so students can discover mentors. Listing does not mean Sound Of Carnatic employs the teacher or guarantees lesson outcomes. Arrangements between student and teacher are between those parties. Ask us if you want a profile corrected or removed.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site (for example attempting to break security, scrape in a way that harms the service, or submit unlawful or abusive content through forms or messages you send us). We may block access that threatens the site or other users.

6. Intellectual property

Site text, branding, and media we publish remain ours or our licensors’, unless marked otherwise. You may share links to public pages. Do not copy substantial content for commercial use without permission.

7. Third-party services

Links and embeds (Google Fonts, Maps, YouTube, Google Forms, Stripe, MailerLite, Clerk for admin, MySwara, social networks, and similar) are outside our direct control. Their terms and privacy notices apply when you use them. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by Dutch law, Sound Of Carnatic is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website, or from decisions based solely on site content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for intent or gross negligence, or mandatory consumer rights).
